It is hard for me to believe that 2015 is almost over. Months of preparation for 2016, such as gearing up with new ideas for the magazine, has made the last few months go by in a flash. Looking back, it has been an amazing year! In 2015, DERMASCOPE published 13 magazines; co-sponsored four, industry-leading tradeshows; awarded 95 professional products with our Aestheticians’ Choice Awards; had at least 175 contributors write generic, educational content; printed over 450 articles; and highlighted almost 1,000 professional products. We plan to expand our educational resources to you in the coming year, offering even more content in the magazine, as well as on DERMASCOPE.com.One of my favorite things about the December magazine begins on page 115. Each December, DERMASCOPE publishes the annual Article Index. This index is a massive list of the highlighted editorials that have been printed throughout the year. Categorized by topic, then organized by month, this section of the magazine can be a great resource for the reader. The featured articles, departments, and columns in the magazine provide valuable information each month and with the index, these editorials can be easily referenced at any time! What the Article Index does not include, however, is all of the bonus content we include on DERMASCOPE.com. Each month, we feature extended content from the magazine, exclusive editorials, more timely industry news, professional product reviews, and company profiles online. We also have capabilities for each reader to make their own professional profile, connect with industry leaders to ask questions in our forums, have an individual blog, and weigh in on the latest online polls. Despite having such a considerable amount of activity on our website, we plan to move forward with more online content, digital news, sneak peeks on the upcoming issues, videos for product demonstrations, and much more in 2016. As we close the book on this year and turn our attention to 2016, be assured that DERMASCOPE is fully committed to bringing you the education and resources you need for your career. If something in the magazine catches your eye and you would benefit from more information on it, please let me know! I always welcome your comments and perspectives.
