We regret to announce the passing of Carol Crowley on January 2, 2014. For over 30 years, Crowley played an important leadership role in the hair removal industry. She was a certified medical electrologist and was one of the few electrology instructors in the nation. Crowley also served in executive capacities for several national electrolysis associations. In the mid-1990s, Carol Crowley was the first electrologist in Texas to purchase a laser for hair removal and was largely responsible for introducing laser hair removal to the market. She was awarded the Bordier Award for excellence in service in 2002 and was very active with The Society for Clinical and Medical Hair Removal (SCMHR) up to six months before her death – even after her retirement from Prestige Electrolysis in Dallas several years ago. She will truly be missed by her many friends in the industry.
