LORA CONDON

A favorite amongst all sorts of skin care professionals, Lora dishes on her big inspiration and her love for busting beauty myths.

YOUR BIGGEST INSPIRATION Danné Montague-King is my biggest inspiration. When I met him a few years ago, he answered so many questions that no other industry person was able to answer and I never heard other people even speak about. I had gotten off track with skin and he reminded me of my love for everything skin and how I need to keep myself accountable. It was a match made in heaven, as far as I am concerned. He is one of a kind and I wish I met him decades ago. Not enough words to express my love and appreciation for him and all he is done for the industry, people, and the world at large.

HOW YOU CONTINUE TO EDUCATE YOURSELF I look to other industries to help educate myself. I have people I call when I have questions, but I also do a lot of research on nutrition, cancer treatment developments, movement specialists, facia specialists, and music therapy.

BREAKOUT MOMENT IN THE BUSINESS Writing my book Spa Wars – The Ugly Truth About the Beauty Industry, really changed my career and got me out of the room and onto Dr. Oz, The New York Times, and more.

MOST USED EQUIPMENT PIECES My most used equipment are my hands and my brain. After that, ultrasound and nano-needle.

FAVORITE TYPE OF SKIN TO TREAT I love working with acne and compromised barriers, because I can get really quick results with a compliant client.

TOP SKIN CARE MYTH Squeaky clean is good for the skin – it just kills me.

SKIN CARE TODAY IS ALL ABOUT… The trend. No one cares if it works or not, they just want the social media picture. A lot of people think they are educated, but they are just mis-educated.

SKIN CARE STEP YOU WON’T SKIP Usually sunscreen, but I am old enough to have missed them all at some point and time.
