I try to find something special about every month of the year. The older I get, the faster the months go by. In the blink of an eye, I am left wondering where the seasons have gone. 

April is pretty unique. It is what I refer to as a “cusp” month. I live in the Northeast where we desperately struggle between early winter, winter, late winter and spring, summer, and fall all rolled into one. April is that month that everyone holds onto with bated breath for a burst of fresh air, slightly longer days, and chirping birds. Quite honestly, there is nothing quite like it. 

This time of year is about newness. I realize that is quite often the topic for the start of the new year, but spring represents the epitome of transformation and rebirth. This spring is unlike any other.  

The last two years have turned all our lives and businesses upside down and sideways. We have barely had the chance to grasp the enormity of change when just like that, we are back on our feet and faced with the future. Back to tradeshows, in-person education, mask-free faces, and beautiful glowing smiles that we have never before seen. 

It is okay. It is all part of a bigger, newer growth plan and rebirth. Take advantage of this opportunity. Take advantage of the fact that this month gives you the opportunity to renew. It even fits the topic of the month, exfoliation. A coincidence? I think not. Instead, it is the perfect marriage of newness – personal newness, business newness, maybe even emotional and spiritual newness, and most certainly skin newness.
