Diving Into the Holiday Season

Written by   Amanda Strunk-Miller

From candy corn to candy canes, the holiday season is often the busiest time of the year for small businesses. It seems that after Halloween hits in October, it is a non-stop whirlwind for businesses to market to their customers and sell more gift cards, presents, and stocking stuffers before the end of the year. While it can be easy to become overwhelmed with the growing to-do list as a business owner during this season, it should be equally as important to step back and take a moment to just get excited! With all of the festivities to plan, it can be a wonderful and enjoyable time for everyone working in the spa. There are so many holiday promotion ideas available that can be researched online and applied in the business, making marketing efforts easily implemented.

Just a quick search on the internet can expose several fun, new ways to create buzz within the spa. Some of my favorites include a special holiday-themed spa menu with pumpkin spice facials and peppermint body scrubs. Pedicures, peels, massages, and body wraps can all be altered for the holiday season to invoke a more joyful spirit with clients. Retail areas can be transformed to winter wonderlands and spa drinks and snacks can be tastily themed with each month. The ideas are unending with the right approach and mindset.quote
Being creative with small business promotions during the holidays has much to do with enjoying the season and simply having fun with the process. With the help of employees, and even family and friends, the perfect holiday shopping environment can be created for the spa. Brainstorm today and see what you come up with!
