For most people, the word summer brings about enjoyable thoughts, treasured memories, and anticipated vacations. For the staff at DERMASCOPE – and more specifically, the editorial team – the word summer brings about brainstorming and planning for new ideas in preparation for the upcoming editorial calendar year. The year may be only half over, but we are already gearing up for 2018! Our goal is to provide fresh perspectives with each of our article topics and creative designs with our recurring departments. Each year we aim to keep strong staples in the magazine, but to also launch new sections in an effort to put a renewed spin on essential subjects that effect the majority of our readers. In addition to creative concepts with the magazine, our team brings you true innovation with DERMASCOPE.com. With our website, we can do so much more! We connect readers, writers, manufacturers, and distributors to each other where they can network and grow together. We provide access to our editorial archives. We publish online-exclusive content. We provide over 5,000 pages of content with over 50,000 visitors a month. One of my primary goals with DERMASCOPE is to provide the most generic, unbiased, educational, relevant, and current information available to the industry. By doing this, it empowers the professional to make forward progress in their career and more truly understand their profession, their client base, and their potential. I have been entrusted with 40 years of tradition and welcome all the input I can get. Over the next few months, our team will be hard at work to renovate department layouts and forecast trending and cutting-edge topics to feature in 2018. These changes will take place in the magazine and on DERMASCOPE.com, hopefully in a way that will intrigue and motivate our readers. I love your feedback! How are we doing? What topics would you like to read more about? What would you like to see less of? Who do you delight in seeing write for the magazine? Do you have an all-time favorite brand? Your suggestions and comments are welcome; please e-mail me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . I look forward to hearing from you!
