BOHO ASMR MedSpa has reimagined the spa scene by popularizing ASMR facials on social media, capturing the fascination of a global audience. Through sharing visually and audibly captivating facials, BOHO ASMR Medspa not only promotes relaxation and skin care but also engages viewers in a deeply personal, immersive experience. Nestled in North Dallas, Texas, BOHO is family owned. It is run by the skin care power couple, Trey and Holly Tanella for the past nine years. They focus on harmonizing the body, mind, and spirit through their immersive experience of skin treatment and sound. How long have you been a licensed aesthetician, and what drew you to the industry? I have been licensed for 10 years. My sisters both struggled with acne all over their face, back, and chest. They would see dermatologist after dermatologist and still had no change in their skin. After seeing how much acne affected their confidence, I decided to really dig into how to help them. Clearing their acne ignited a passion for skin health within me, and I have been a skin care junkie ever since. What pushed you to open your own spa, and at what point in your career did you open it? I started in the back room of a massage establishment where my husband was a part owner. After his partnership went south, I worked for a spa for five months, but it was so disorganized that my husband and I decided to open a solo aesthetician suite. What inspired the design aesthetic of the space? Definitely not my husband! This is one of the topics we fight over the most when it comes to working together. We see style differently. BOHO’s style is a merger; it is bohemian with a modern twist to keep both of us of happy. Due to my love of gemstones, I have designed each one of the treatment rooms after them. Want to read more?
