In light of COVID-19, businesses are having to pivot to stay relevant and to communicate with customers in ways that are possible. Entrepreneur and host of the Clean Beauty Podcast Cassandra McClure in a matter of days had to go from planning her next in-person Clean Beauty Conference, which has been postponed, to delivering weekly Clean Beauty Virtual Summits. Just in February 2020 Cassandra hosted the first-ever Clean Beauty Business Retreat in Carmel-By-The-Sea, which was sold-out. Rejuvenated from the high of her Clean Beauty Retreat, Cassandra came back to a national emergency. Within days, the state of California was in lockdown. For Cassandra, it meant more than just having to stay at home. Her business was affected, her wedding postponed, and the clean beauty event she had been working toward for over two years canceled. Working quickly, Cassandra shifted gears from a luxurious event of celebration and pampering to something that could support all struggling business-owners. “My vision was to educate and provide easily accessible resources to those in need with the help of her sponsors and panelists,” she explains. “With tickets at 90% off and support in the form of partnerships, exposure for one’s business, and downloadable resources for the attendees, Cassandra announced the first-ever Clean Beauty Con, a virtual business summit, which occurred on March 29th, 2020.” The Clean Beauty Virtual Business Summit features industry formulators, scientists and even cancer survivors—all to guide you during this time in your business. “I have polled my audience to garner their interest and feedback on topics that are most important to them during this crisis,” Cassandra explains. “I have created extreme interaction as my audience has a voice in the summit topics.” One of the recent summits featured topics on serving during COVID-19, Prevention tips during COVID-19, Vaccines during COVID-19, self-care, sustainability, and more.
