How do you keep your feelings from clouding your decision-making?As a business owner, I need to be objective in my choices and decisions. Thinking of the greater outcome for the greater good is essential. It is important not to make snap decisions and to take the time to think things through. What dreams and goals inspired you to succeed? I think the teacher in me took over. I felt inspired by the fact that I could pass along my knowledge to others. Spending years educating other aestheticians, and seeing them go on to succeed in their own right, simply made me smile and want to do more. How do you give credit where credit is due? When we have done something well, we all need someone to tell us that. I believe we need to hear it and I do that with my staff. Credit is always given for a job well done or great ideas. What values are you committed to?Honesty, integrity, and being positive, along with caring for the well-being of others. Who has influenced you the most? Two wonderful mentors. First, Eve Taylor taught me many skills in analyzing the needs of my client and treating the whole person. The philosophy that your skin is merely a reflection of what is going on inside the body – both mentally and physically – still holds true today. The question is how to discover those facts and, then, how to treat it. Second, Gerrard Genot, MD, homeopath and teacher, guided me through 10 years of postgraduate studies in homeopathic studies for women’s health. How do you spend most of your time? When not working, with my family, my husband of 40 years, and my growing number of grandchildren, for which I feel truly blessed. What is your daily skin care Ritual? In the morning, I cleanse with the Eve Taylor Ultra Soothing Cleanser and apply hydrating serums from Thera Genesis, complete with moisturizer and sunscreen. In the evening, I cleanse again and use either brightening serums or vitamin C 20 percent with firming cream, all from the Thera Genesis collection of products.Want to read more?
