Summer time is here! For me, this time of year signifies long, sunny days spent at the lake or on the beach. In my childhood, these summer mornings included the sounds of me and my sisters running around, laughing and bubbling over with joy at the prospect of what the day had in store for us.

The golden rule, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you,” is a well known saying. Whether you are a religious person or not, this rule, also known as the Ethic of Reciprocity, sets a standard that most people strive to follow. Simply put, we should strive to treat other people as we would wish to be treated ourselves.

When I step into a business, whether it be a spa, grocery store, or even a gas station there are a couple of things I pay attention to. Is the business clean and inviting? Does it carry the items I'm looking for? Are their prices reasonable? Then, last but definitely not least … customer service. Was I greeted when I entered? Are their employees helpful…

Spring is in the air and the cool, cold weather of the winter months is coming to an end. A sense of awakening thrives as flowers begin to bloom and grass begins to experience a rebirth with its vibrant green colors. The month of March is fresh, fabulous and beautiful!
