How long have you been in the beauty industry, and why did you choose to become a publicist? Like many students pursuing an undergraduate degree, I did not have a clear understanding of what I wanted to be when I grew up. My parents envisioned broadcast journalism for me. However, after taking a few PR classes, I learned that many of the stories we read about everyday are orchestrated by strategic communications professionals who are making the magic happen behind the scenes, which is where I wanted to be. After graduating college, I immediately started my career in PR, and nearly 20 years later, I am still doing it. It is wild, and I can hardly believe it myself.
