If you are still using the same skin care products leftover from summer, it is time to revamp your routine. It is critical to change things up when the weather cools down. Drier fall air brings about a host of potential skin issues, but it is possible to look beautiful – and defy your age all season long. Here are my three tips for moving your routine from summer to fall: Turn on your humidifier – it is like a moisturizing treatment all night long. Use fragrance-free soap and laundry detergent to prevent sensitive skin issues. Shower with lukewarm water (hot water is drying) and use a good moisturizer on your body and face after stepping out. Here are my seven favorite solutions for fabulous fall skin care: HYDRATE – When the weather gets drier, so does your skin. However, using a hydrating cleanser which combines panthenol and allantoin will soothe and restore your skin. PERFECT – With natural melanin, titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, an SPF 30 sunscreen will protect the skin (necessary even in the fall) and disguises flaws for a smooth and even makeup application. PROTECT – Like a quenching drink for your skin, a serum that boosts hydration with hyaluronic acid and 90 percent green tea polyphenols provides powerful antioxidants that guard against wrinkle-inducing free radicals. AWAKEN – Using a brightening eye cream packed with decapeptide-12 will help correct five common eye-area complaints, such as hyperpigmentation, inflammation, iron deposits, dry lines and wrinkles. TIGHTEN – For more dramatic results, try finding a wrinkle reduction system that boosts collagen production, tightens skin and smooth wrinkles. REVERSE – When looking for treatments to help tighten skin and get rid of post-sun skin damage, look for treatments that use a fractionated bipolar radiofrequency technology. TREAT – Skin needs some tender loving care post-skin resurfacing treatments to prevent possible discoloration. Such treatments will help brighten, soothe and replenish skin.Want to read more?
