Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is an emerging trend within the medical aesthetics industry and is derived from a client’s own blood. Once blood is drawn, it is spun in a centrifuge. Special tubes with chemicals separate the blood into components, allowing the provider to pull the platelets and use them as an adjunct in certain treatments.
