Spa Solage, which is located in Calistoga, California, features a 2,500 square foot expansion to its reception building, including a new indoor and outdoor Relaxation Lounge, expanded men's and women's locker rooms with outdoor showers, an enhanced menu of services and fitness programs, and a redesign of the overall interior décor that features luxurious design elements. These redesigned elements join Spa Solage's impressive roster of spa facilities, including healing geothermal pools and deluxe mud bar. A new spa herb garden showcases vegetation from Calistoga's unique location and includes rosemary, French lavender, California white sage, and mint, all of which are incorporated into the spa's offerings. Spa Solage's signature mudslide treatment starts with a visit to the Spa's Mud Bar, where guests can sample a variety of essential oils, promoting relaxation, revitalization, and more. Once the guests choose their essential oil, a spa attendant will mix a personalized bucket of mud at the bar, incorporating volcanic ash, local mineral water, and their chosen essential oil. From there, the mudslide is broken into three steps, all of which are experienced privately or as part of a couple. First, the mud is applied to the body either by the guest or the spa attendant. The guest then relaxes in a heated, private mud lounge to allow the mud to dry and purify the body while extracting toxins. After 25 minutes, the guest rinses off in a private shower. Next, the guest will visit a private soaking tub that features Solage's healing geo-thermal mineral waters and the same essential oil featured in the mud. At this time, the body reabsorbs important minerals and vitamins. Finally, the guest will visit the last room and relax in a state-of-the-art sound chair that is positioned to zero gravity. The chairs subtly vibrate to soothing music, which guests hear through noise canceling headphones while they sleep. At the zero gravity position, a 20 minute nap is equivalent to 2 hours of REM sleep. $110 for 60 minutes; $160 for 90 minutes.Want to read more?
